Montserrat is the ‘Serrated Mountain’. The mountain gets its name from the rock formations which look like they’ve been sawed and sculpted, the result of thousands of years of rain and winds. Among the sites to explore at Montserrat, you will discover the Benedictine Santa Maria de Montserrat abbey and visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat to see the famous 12th-century carving of Our Lady of Montserrat, also known as La Moreneta (the Dark One or Black Madonna).   You can then choose whether you want to do some walking on your own, shop for local cheese and jam, or just take in the amazing views for a little longer.

If you wish to join our full-day tour then you will also get a chance to visit the wine country of Catalonia and learn about the secrets of our Cava (the Catalan version of the French Champagne). You will get a guided tour inside a local Cava producer to learn about the process of making the wine and of course to sample the results…
